On October 4th, Wiggin and Dana Counsel and member of the firm’s Corporate Practice, Seth Greenstein, along with Associate, Jacqueline Yuan, will partner with Schmidt Futures, a philanthropy founded by former Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, for a program designed for aspiring refugee entrepreneurs. As part of this effort, the inaugural “Refugee Entrepreneurship Program” will select four refugees and place them for a seven-week immersive accelerator program at Antler. Seth Greenstein and Jacqueline will discuss start-up and corporate law considerations for foreign entrepreneurs, selecting the right entity type when starting a business in the U.S., developing standardized contracts with customers and clients, and other legal and corporate governance considerations when establishing a presence and raising capital in the U.S.
