For me the most rewarding and fun aspect of advising growth-stage biotech companies is brainstorming with executive teams on creative partnering and licensing structures to help them achieve their business objectives.
Patti Melick helps biotechnology, medical device, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical companies get from bench to commercialization. She is an accomplished life sciences and pharmaceutical lawyer who has helped numerous clients grow and bring their innovations to market over her more than three decade career. Patti spends time learning about her client’s business and business objectives, then discussing and considering alternative structures to achieve their goals.
Patti’s extensive experience spans large multinational pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and medical device companies to world-class universities, emerging biotechnology companies, scientists, and entrepreneurs. She counsels clients in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, complex strategic alliances, licensing, and other global partnering transactions.
Patti chairs the Firm’s Life Sciences Practice Group and serves as a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, and she is a past member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She is happiest on the water or on the slopes.
