Monica Kolinsky’s practice focuses on life sciences and biotechnology transactional matters, including licensing, corporate partnering, and other technology-transfer transactions. As counsel in the corporate department, Monica works directly with a range of clients in the life sciences industry, including domestic and European public companies and emerging biotechnology and pharmaceutical startup companies. Monica also provides intellectual property-related support for due diligence matters, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation. She is experienced in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the life sciences area.

Her background and training as a scientist give Monica a unique perspective into certain issues that are faced by life sciences clients, particularly in research, development, and commercialization of pharmaceutical products and related technology. She enjoys the interplay between science and law, using her experience in both to help clients further their business objectives.

Outside of work, Monica likes to read books, ride her bike, and watch her kids play soccer. She is a member of the Steering Committee for the Connecticut chapter of Women in Bio, and a member of the Industry Advisory Board at Harper Cancer Research Institute at Notre Dame.
