NHE3 Workshop: “Legacy Planning for Your Business & Personal Success” to Feature Attorney Jermaine Brookshire Jr.

On February 27, 2024, Associate Jermaine Brookshire, Jr. will be a featured speaker at the New Haven Equitable Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (NHE3) Workshop, “Legacy Planning for Your Business and Personal Success.” Jermaine will present an overview of some of the issues that individuals seeking to start their new business venture should be poised to navigate as well as key considerations that entrepreneurs should keep in mind during their decision-making to position them to achieve their desired growth. Attendees will also hear from and have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A with industry experts in financial planning and wealth management, accounting, insurance, and retirement benefits.

Overall, attendees will learn about:

  • Certain essential legal documents for startups and an overview of capital raise considerations.
  • Essential accounting practices.
  • Proper insurance coverage.
  • Retirement plan benefits.
  • How to efficiently transfer assets to people and causes they care about.
