On July 22, 2024, Partners Adam Silverman and Paul Hughes presented on “Financing the Emerging Enterprise” at Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s Summer Fellowship program. The program included discussions on strategy, sources of capital, valuation, process and best practices. The session culminated with a mock term sheet negotiation between a founder and an investor, played by Paul and Adam, respectively.
The Connecticut Center For Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI), is the first organized center to support entrepreneurship activity at the University of Connecticut. Summer Fellowship is UConn’s startup accelerator program, which prepares startups to launch their company, generate revenue, raise funding, and be accepted into next step opportunities such as incubators and accelerator programs.
